An entertaining experience
If you want to experience a slice of Munich and Oktoberfest, this is the place to go. The Hofbrauhaus is part spectacle, part restaurant, and thankfully the place does both very well. Every night seems to be a party and the place can get LOUD, so it can be hard to hold a conversation at times, but the interactive experience makes up for those awkward gaps in conversation when no one knows that the other is saying. The food is surprisingly good. A little on the pricey side, but that is to be expected. I’ve sampled quite a bit of the menu over several visits, and I can’t really say I had a bad meal. Portion sizes are more of the typical restaurant size vs the classic German restaurants that almost guarantee a doggy bag. And the beer? With several of the classic HB varieties brewed on site, you really can’t go wrong.
